Winter Wonderland....

After Tom joined us about 3am for a bit of DS playing - we made ourselves go back to sleep at 4am.  Got moving around 0900 this morning and headed out to catch The Original Tour (double decker open top hop on hop off bus) - we caught the bus to the start location and jumped off at Buckingham Palace for a wander. Queenie was home but no invite in for hot choccies was forth coming.

Past Big Ben, Westminster Abby and into Trafalgar Square - we jumped off the bus for 'brunch' at Garfunkles and a wander around the square.

Back on the bus but headed in the wrong direction to where we wanted to go so jumped off at the next stop  which was 'Winter Wonderland' - a massive outdoor fun fair with Christmas markets where every second stall sold mulled wine.  The kids had one ride each and we gorged on hot chocolates and churros that actually tasted like battered fish???

Next it was the bus out to the Natural History Museum which we thought would be great to show the kids.  We were back in our old stomping ground and reminisced as we passed our old tube stop and supermarket....  When we got to the place was packed and after being stuck in one way queues trying to see the dinosaurs we were ready to get out of there!!!  The building is amazing and it would be great to see more of this place but Saturday afternoon is probably not the best option...

Black cab home tonight......
